Philadelphia Lutheran Church has a history of service to the community.  We have sponsored an Alcoholics Anonymous group since the late 1960s.  We have been in Boy Scouting for over seventy years.  The Women of the Church (WELCA) have taken on various projects such as contributing to Lutheridge, the homeless Shelter, Battered Women's Shelter, Lutheran World Relief, and Crossnore School. We have a prayer shawl ministry that has been active for decades.

Sometimes, service to the church and community comes after a storm, whether physically or metaphorically. We are pleased to sponsor the Care and Share Blessing Box Project founded by one of our members.   We also provide assistance to South Caldwell Christian Ministries.
